Singapore, 15 June 2020 – The Singapore Blockchain Week 2020, realized by the Blockchain Association of Singapore (BAS) and NexChange Group, will take place from 21 until 23 July. The event will be held on July 21 and will see lots of meetups, seminars, and developer activities on July 22 and 23.
There will be great speakers from the blockchain sector and those who regulate it. Matt Sorum, ex-Guns N’ Roses drummer and partner at STHORM DLT-founded venture will start things off with a jam session.
Some of the best things that await us are a speech from Patric Tay, Parliament Member and NTUC member, and a talk from Sopnendu Mohanty, lead financial technology member for MAS. Visiting will also be Hester Peirce, Commissioner of SEC. Before becoming an SEC member, she was involved in research of financial marketplaces at George Mason University.
When asked about the happening, Professor David Lee, BAS Advisor, said that the country hosting the event is a key place for distributed ledgers and has an important place in promoting innovative tech, which enhances countless businesses. He noted it’s great to see the event attracting a colorful crowd and a robust lineup of guest speakers from all corners of the globe.
The best speakers from the world, involved in the biggest providers of distributed ledger solutions, will be focusing on the development of the distributed ledger sector and the effects of the pandemic. Joining them on the quest will be regulators and the top names of the sector’s organizations.
Anton Golub, chief executive officer of Flovtec, highlighted significant characteristics connected to the new normal for the technology industry and how it will be tackled at the Singapore Blockchain Week. He said that blockchain would succeed only if people work together as they should. He pointed to liquidity as one of the key aspects, which Flovtec offers for those who issue tokens and for digital asset exchanges. He mentioned that such happenings allow various parts of the industry puzzle to come together since, by collaboration, targets can be reached to get inclusive marketplaces in finance.
